| Over
the last few years Beach Beat Surfboards
have formed some alliances with a few of the worlds long time international
shapers. 2 of our current shapers are Gary Mcnabb and Ronnie Woodward
and they add a much broader influence to the designs and shapes
we now produce.
Having
come from 2 different schools of thought but from same eras these
guys have been shaping since the 60,s and have seen it all as
well as having shaped for and still shape for some of the worlds
top riders in various areas.
1. Ronnie Woodward
Born in London but immigrated to NZ and Australia at a young age
where he discovered surfing and during the 60,s started shaping
in Qld Australia. Ronnie has shaped
through all of the longboard era
to the modern shortboard era
and has been aleading figure in labels such as Hot Buttered, Aloha,
Bear, Power Shapes Aust etc and has had such leading lights as
Derek Hynd (Hot Buttered), Beau Young. Nat
Young, Sunny Garcia to name a few across the years. The "man
with the magic hands" they say who was the original designer
of the 2 1/2 fin concept and introduced me to the first 3 fin
thruster design i saw in Sydney in 1981. Ronnie has shaped in
Australia, USA, Hawaii, Japan, and Europe and his designs are
reknownd. He is a regular guest shaper at Laminations and creates
his unigue designs under our Beach Beat Labels and it is a pleasure
to work alongside a master and a long time friend. See Ronnie

Gary Mcnabb
Mr Nectar Surfboards, the original California Kid who is based
in Encinatas Ca. but still has his Scottish Heritage but created
one of the most famous USA surfboard labels of the 70,s and
80,s. Gary was the man who took the first thruster designs
to America with Simon Anderson and he was one of the biggest
producers of boards in the
80,s. Gary has worked in or with every top manufacturer in
Sothren California and has exported boards to Japan,Europe.
An avid surfer rat still who gives us the California side/approach
to short and longboard
designs, Gary's unique shapes have left a lasting influence
on our range of Models. My respect to a great designer and
an extremely talented shaper. |

Malcom Campbell
One of the icons of surfboard
design with his unique 5 fin Bonza Bottom Design.
What can I say,one of my all time design heroes and his Bonza's
speak for themselves. We are the first ever factory
to be chosen outside the USA to produce this iconic design and
we are very proud of that. A simple but effective design that
has stayed through the years and is now on the come back trail

Ian "ratso" Buchanan
NZ's most sucessfull competitive surfer ever and and well travelled
craftsman who understands the demands of surfboard
design.
With
the above shapers plus" Chops",
Beach Beat are fortunate to have such a broad base of surfboard
design knowledge across all of the disciplines as well and the
absolute shaping talent so
we are totally confidence in our product.
