Fatboy Sizes

Date: March 05, 2007 01:14PM Hi,
I'm considering getting a Fatboy. Seen a Beach Beat 6'8" and a 6'10" in a shop near me and was wondering what they compare to in a mini mal shape if that makes sense?! When I surf a mates O'shea 7'6" I'm starting to make a few turns etc, nothing flashy but gaining speed and reaching the top of the wave again. However my own baord is a 6'10" shortboard which I struggle on unless the waves are pretty peaky and I'm in good shape. I'm 5'11 and 11.5 - 12 stone. Guess I'm trying to decide between 6'8", 6'10" and a 7'0" The boards I saw where pretty thick, but I don't wanna end up with another board I struggle on, yu'know? I surf in North Wales, the North East mostly (year round). Mainly beachies but getting a bit more adventurous after a week in morocco. Hope you can suggest what size going on the limited info above! Cheers, Ian Re: Fatboy Sizes

Date: March 07, 2007 10:13AM I'm having the same issue - trying to figure out how much length I can afford to lose if I go a bit wider and thicker.
I've just got rid of a 7'0 x 19.5" x 2.5" that I'd never managed to get going with any success. My missus has a 7'0 x 21 x 2.5 funboard that I like a lot.
