For a wet and dry Dolphin Skin finish, the board is dry sanded with 240grit finish paper and taken to a 320G finish with a air fed palm sander. This is an orbital sander which gives a finer cut, therefore a finer finish.
A polish finish is achieved through wet and dry sanding the board from 600grit to 1200grit finish papers, then buffing in a polish compound to a high shine. A quick rub over with a clean cloth and the surfboard is ready to surf.
