The PPF Flyer is a modern fish surfboard shape. With a V bottom, it will feel super twitchy and fast and needs to be surfed rail to rail. It has a fairly low entry rocker, with a single concave right up under the chest. As standard, the concave goes through into a V in the tail (or double concave to suit/be slightly more forgiving) with the double wing to draw the wide tail in quickly, giving real reactivity and snappy top turns. The surfboards wide point is behind center, combined with the rocker and bottom shape and full template makes this an excellent choice for slacker waves from 1 - 6ft.
This is a performance fish surfboard shape, fast and will turn on a six pence. It is a shorter, wider board with a flater rocker therefore it paddles and plains really well which is great for paddling out quickly, catching waves well, plaining through flat sections well, especially in slacker waves. When paddling the width in the nose brings centre of gravity forward which also helps catching waves! Generally good amount of width with a fair V in the bottom shape to make it surf great on its rail for a wide shape. The width in the tail is drawn in quickly by the double stingers which give pivot points on the rail and release for excellent manoeuvrability! The swallow tail loosens the board up also by reducing the surface area in the tail. It is a highly rated shape by the Beach Beat Surfboards sponsored riders.
